Established in 1992 as a special project of the Metropolitan Christian Council of Philadelphia, WPCCN became an independent 501(c)3 in 2000.  WPCCN has become an essential, trusted provider of technical assistance, professional development and resources, now serving over 1,200 child care providers each year.  WPCCN's services include:

Among WPCCN's most effective and rewarding collaborations is its pioneering and continuing role in the Philadelphia Early Childhood Collaborative (PECC). PECC is a partnership of three neighborhood based organizations: the Preschool Project, Neighborhood Interfaith Movement and WPCCN.
