Child Development Associate Credential Course

(CDA)

A 120 hours of formal early childhood education course prepares students to earn their CDA credential.  The CDA credential  is a nationally-recognized, entry-level credential available  to individuals who are currently working  with young children.  The credential demonstrates an individual's ability  to provide quality  programming for young children.  The Child Development  Associate Credential is sponsored by the Council for Professional Recognition (the Council).  The Council administers the final assessment and awards the credential.   The CDA is becoming a basic requirement for professional quality in most early childhood programs. The CDA credential can be used towards earning an Associate's Degree.
